Now that you have started practicing your interview skills, it is time to reach-out to a healthcare employee (preferably someone in human resources or that works at a facility you are interested in), and schedule a mock interview. Ideally, you want to schedule this in-person or digitally (using webcams). Be sure to provide the assignment document below to the employee ahead of time (minimally 24 hours prior to your interview) so that they can prepare. You will need to provide them a copy of your resume. To get credit for this assignment, you will need to submit an evaluation form that the interviewer completes.

MOCK INTERVIEWER

INFORMATION

The student seeking your assistance to complete a mock interview is enrolled in Rasmussen College’s Healthcare Exploration and Careers course. The mock interview is to take about 30 minutes of your time. This is an assignment in the course and is due in Week 5.

The students are directed to either conduct an in-person or virtual interview and to share their resume and dress professionally. They will be basing their mock interview off of a job description they used for their resume and they should explain it to you prior to the interview starting.

It is the student’s responsibility to provide you their assessment form and their resume. You will be filling this out the assessment form during the interview. Please make sure to provide students with detailed feedback on this document. At the end of the interview let them know what they did great, and also provide them with constructive criticism. The student will need their mock interview assessment form back.
